Communicate clearly
Good written communications are vital for businesses, charities and other organisations who need to engage with a target audience.
Simple writing that gets the point across clearly in as few words as possible is the most effective way to get your message across.Work examples by Val Culley Nottingham freelance journalist
Badly written communications with grammatical errors will alienate your intended audience and present a poor image for your business, however brilliant the product or service you offer.
I can advise you on the best way to reach your customers, grab their attention and make sure they understand your message.

Their stories – how lives can be changed with the right framework
Framework brochure by Val CulleyAs an example, in 2011, I was commissioned to provide journalistic services to help Framework,  a homelessness charity based in Nottinghamshire,  produce a 10th anniversary review of their achievements.
Framework provides housing, support, training, care and resettlement services – opening doors to thousands of homeless and vulnerable people in the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and parts of South Yorkshire .
I wrote 13 case studies that reflect the range of people supported by Framework and demonstrate the life-saving and life-changing outcomes that have been achieved.
These can be read in Framework’s 10th anniversary review, which is available online at  www.10yearsofframework.org
